My personal experience challenges your article. I found I had a Vitamin D deficiency in 2020. I started taking 1000 IU supplement but it the dose was not enough to get is above the minimum requirement in my blood test (30 ng/ml). I got Covid in 2021 and it was very rough, I never got the clot shot. Since then, I take up to 5000 IU in the winter and just a 1000 IU in the summer. My I literally never got a cold, cough or even sore throat for the past 3 years. I used to get sick at least once or twice a year. I'm convinced its the vitamin D supplement. I keep my level above 40 ng/ml, and the range is 30-100.
